News & Announcements

During this season so full of thankfulness and joy for many of us, CHFMs First Day Program is organizing a collection for the organization, Cradles to Crayons. Cradles to Crayons provides children from birth through age 12, living in homeless or low-income situations with the essential items they need to thrive.

Thanks to the entire Meeting for your generous response to the 2014 Simple Gifts Bazaar. Your support helped two disadvantaged families to have a happy Christmas and allowed our own First Day School children to gain an awareness of the needs of others and the difference their individual efforts can make.

On Sunday, December 22, 2013, the children of the First Day School presented their version of the Dr. Seuss classic, How the Grinch Stole Christmas. They were ably assisted by Tricia Walmsley, Loretta Lucy Miller, Diane Dunning, Betsy Robertson and Jean Warrington (and probably several others).

The First Day School classes have taken on responsibility for helping to raise money so that we can help two NPIHN families we have "adopted" have a merrier holiday. They gathered at the meetinghouse on Saturday, December 7, to make crafts that they'll sell at the meetinghouse on the next two Sundays. Thanks to Miyo Moriuchi for contributing the photographs.
